Discovery Communications opened a new collaborative space in their national headquarters called The Cove. It was a huge undertaking that was highly anticipated by the employees. The architecture of the new space was designed to be reminiscent of an actual cove, so I started with that shape as I began designing the logo. The logo was crafted to give a feeling of welcomed seclusion from a busy day's work. 
 
 
As soon as I had the logo done, the rest of the brand fell right into place. This was one of those projects where you can instantly see the whole picture in your head all at once. The client was extremely pleased with the brand presented and accepted it with no changes whatsoever (always a good feeling.) 
 
 
 
 
 
 
The Cove logo was also adapted for three other uses. A Cove To-Go area was established as a quick stop for employees on the third floor. Then the DCTC and Sterling offices each opened their own version of the Cove; The Bay and The Reef.
