The Cadets is one of the most honored drum corps in history and it needed to recreate its brand to be more in line with the current image of the corps. Since the corps’ formation in 1934, there is only one image that has stayed consistent - its uniform. The maroon and gold West Point style uniforms are immediately recognizable like no other in the drum corps activity. A new identity was created in 2010 - the 76th year - to pay tribute to the past while looking to the future. Three chevrons are the main element of the logo and are an abstraction of the embroidery on the sleeves. Because of their repetition and orientation, the chevrons connote the idea of dynamism, innovation, and forward thinking. The letter C acts as a partial outline around the arrows to represent the idea of being on the edge and pushing the boundaries. A full line of graphic apparel, subsequently developed in 2013, extends the brand identity of the corps through clean and crisp details based on the symbol.
