The Aulenti car is designed and build in spirit
of Gae Aulenti witch is an Italian architect and designer. The soapbox car
reflects Gae Aulenti´s character the way the designer experiences her. The car
is rather virile and cold but Aulenti is often dressed like a man. The shelter
or the roof of the car is symbolic for how she is disguised in the design
world. Aulenti does not think that it is important to have her signature in her
work and that is why the car is black because the designer thinks that black is
a symbol for hiding. The outlines are sharp and determined and they are suppose to reflect how exceptional woman she is.
Two red circles are on the top of the seat and they reflect her glasses she
wears all the time and you could imagine that she is sidding in the car.
