- The Art of Pleasure
Art History meets Ice cream
- This was a project I participated in as a third year student of AKTO College of Art & Design. Its main goal was to design an advertising campaign, mostly based on print, that would convince people to eat Dodoni's ice cream.* The concept I came up with was to present each ice cream flavor as an art movement, so that I could show in each ad both the creativity and the quality of the product. The two first images are some of the backgrounds I made. I used water colors, scanned the papers and then tried to improve their imperfections through Adobe Photoshop. It was a fun procedure that ended up with me being full of paint and laughing watching most of my horrible expirements. Now I know it was worth the trouble.
- The result was a series of posters that got relatively good response, even though I did not win the competition. Below you can see four of the final posters, the first one representing strawberry (''Abstract Strawberryism''), the second one is mango (''Cool Yoghurtism''), the third one is peach (''Happy Fruitism'') and the last one is parfe and it's called ''Chocolate Parfism''.
In the end I managed to design two more posters, one for chocolate and one for vanilla.
