  • Tonight I Do. 11" x 14" Graphite and Poppy Red on Rives BFK
    Inspired by HBO's "The Wire"
  • Dopplegänger - 10" x 8" Graphite and Poppy Red on Rives BFK
    Inspired by Parks and Recreation
  • First of the two is influenced by the 5 season HBO cult hit “The Wire” focusing on the war on drugs in Baltimore, MD from the unique perspective of the detectives to the slingers and all of those in between. My favorite two characters, though independently moving outside of the main conflict, seem to find mutual respect for the other’s cause. This showdown was epic and among my favorite two minutes of television to date. The dialog, each and every line, could have composed the title for this piece. Those who are familiar may understand my choice while those who are not should hunker down for the 60 episode run of The Wire and find out.
  • Some of you may be familiar with Parks and Recreation up to it’s fifth season also (to date). The first ever episode, this mustachioed man caught my attention. his disinterest in government and ability to stick to his guns with virtue and conviction are hands down amazing. Until his ex-wife through her feminine and animalistic wiles, brainwash and remarry him and a crazed night of spiraling destruction. Only then does Ron Swanson become his own worst enemy.
