The Anatomy of Print

Brief
Explore the potential for print design and experiment with how it can be used effectively to push the boundaries of the medium. Consider the use of format, construction, narrative and user experience. This is not about making an iPad version of a book, rather discovering how printed techniques can add something new to the experience of reading.

Concept
Print isn't dead yet, without us even knowing it we are allowing it to interact with four of our most important senses. Digital tablets are currently able to cover two at a push.

Solution
Inspired by old style anatomy books, The Anatomy of Print is a celebration of what print can really do to our senses. Each main page is finished in a way to awaken that particular sense. The binding and the cover have not been ignored and are also designed to interact with your senses.
