This project was a solution to the ISTD 2013 ‘Books Still?’ brief in the publishing stream. The brief required an editorial design project that considers how we read in the 21st century. My solution to address the brief was to make a book to teach the 'texting language' to parents and adults. My aim was to bridge the communication gap between teens and parents. Parents could use this book to learn the basics of mastering text slang to keep an eye on their kids (in an ethical manner), or to become a ‘cool parent’ who keeps up with the 21st century.
Taking the book out of the cover creates the illusion of a teenager growing up.
