    External Touristic Wayfinding Project
  • Rich with several well known landmarks - the city of Tervuren (Belgium) wanted a solution to help guiding tourists through the city. In co-operation with the touristic service and major of Tervuren we found the most efficiĆ«nt solution, understandable in different languages.

    We devided the city into 4 zones. Forest, City, Villa & Park. Each marked with a distinctive color for easy recognition. In the area's of landmarks we implemented the bigger signs; each marking on the map the location, nearby landmarks & parkingspots. They also include a small info-text about the area, all written in 4 languages Dutch, French, English & Spanish.

    On the verso side we used high-resolution images of the nearby landmarks in the same grid-system as the map. We provided parkingspots with smaller versions of the map & directional signs through the city for guidance.

    In the solution is the possibility to expand the range to the nearby & smaller cities, wich will be implemented in late 2013.
