I was initially inspired by Piano keys, specifically the way they arc and support an object placed on them.

I envisioned a system of tension cables, wooden and foam slates, that would comfortably support a person.

Foam core experimentation with scale and 3D modelling to work out stacking mechanics. and aesthetics.
