German publisher Gestalten are internationally known for their books on a variety of art disciplines an for their ability to anticipate vital trends in visual culture. Tangible is a book that documents how designers are using the stylistic means of graphic design to implement their ideas to three-dimensional design, objects and orchestrated spaces.
When we recieved the request to design both cover and chapter pages of the book we wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate one of our favourite design approaches by creating a human scale set, teeming with details and playful imagery. Like other visual practicioners today we try to make the intangible tangible, manifesting the imagery inside of our heads into material objects and spaces.
Morphing graphic design into sculpture, that’s what we try - and like - to do.
