Tactile Notebook Winter 2011

Tactile Notebook Winter 2011
A first attempt at creating a tactile notebook
In fourth year university I had the pleasure of taking a course called, Tactile Notebooks and the Written Word, taught by Sandra Brownlee. A fantastic course, which combines the sketchbook, journal and scrapbook. It is a book that can be whatever you want - it slowly becomes part of you.

The tactile notebook is a spiritual experience. It's inspirational and therapeutic. This is my first tactile notebook. It documents happy and sad times in my life, and is a valued memento.

It smells, feels and looks good. A heavenly combination.
This past winter, my family experienced a great loss - we lost three of our cats. My notebook became my way to express my feelings, and a way to remember my three beautiful cats.
As a Canadian, when Roll-Up-The-Rim time hits Tim Hortons, I become a little too addicted. This is proof. So many failures.
The end of my first notebook.
