  • El toro
    an artistic journey

Toro began in the summer of 2009 as an artistic journey depicting
the hero bulls that through out history in Spain had won and killed
before their inevitable death. These 68 bulls are an homage to the
power of masculinity, fertility, and nobility of those forgotten
    warriors.
The work is made with recycled materials found on the trash, such
cardboard, canvas, paper and wood, as a way to give birth to the
    concept.
They are drawn in one go as a series, of 6, like those bulls that get
killed every afternoon in the ring.
Black indian ink and white acrylic are used as a life and death battle
representation with the canvas. no retouching is ever done, no
    coming back. what stays, stays.
