Technology Museum for Children, or TM, is a senior thesis encompassing a year of research and case studies, culminating in an extensive final design solution. TM will utilize interactive exhibits and activities to address critical social issues, emphasizing social equality and cultural understanding.
Located along the High Line Park in a 1930s warehouse building, the museum's interior maintains and highlights many of the original features, such as wood trusses and dark brick. The industrial edge contrasts nicely with the sleek techno elements.
Based on a concept of circuitry, the museum's spaces link together from a central brain core where visitors connect to the museums information system--and to each other.
