The Brief:
Illustrate the front page for an illustration zine called "Illustration Today". The zine focuses on contemporary illustration. This will be the very first issue of the zine so it should be contemporary and very eye catching.

The Execution:
In my design I focused on the fact that contemporary illustration is very much rooted in both computer and hand illustration. Thus we find ourselves marrying the old and new way. Hence the reason for the mouse and pencil marrying.

I used this specific style, cause I think its very appropriate to contemporary illustration. Todays illustrations are looking alot at children's illustration and tends to be very playful and tong in cheek. Read Less
