THE MOULDY LOVERS

  • Bubbling up from the crevices of West End, The Mouldy Lovers came together quietly and brewed to a loud menagerie of exuberant gypsy junk. With their unbridled enthusiasm and transcontinental influences, The Mouldy Lovers produce gypsy tunes with a dose of ska, punk and dub.
The Mouldy Lovers have had shows in a wide array of venues around SE Queensland including The Zoo, Soundlounge, The Tivoli, The Hifi, The Box, The Old Museum, and The Spotted Cow just to name a few. Having only recently broken into the festival scene The Mouldy Lovers have already played at a number of major festivals including Caloundra Music Festival, Surfing The Coldstream, Snowy Mountains Of Music, Wallaby Creek Festival and Island Vibe, leaving them hungry for more in 2012 and 2013.
Featuring a collective of young musicians from a varied global lineage and distinct euphonic tastes, The Mouldy Lovers blend an assortment of instruments; such as piano accordion, banjo, trumpet, saxophone, guitar, piano, bass and drums; to produce a one of a kind sound that keeps feet moving and hearts beating.
I designed a typeface inspired by the style of the music they play. I also designed the cover of there latest album: In Space.
