T.E.M.O.R.E.S Exhibition Stand

Commemorating the 400anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic contacts between Mexico andJapan, fashion designer T.E.M.O.R.E.S was invited to present his work inparallel to the Tokyo International Film Festival and the Japan Fashion Week inTokyo in October of 2009. For this occasion we created an exhibition stand thatwould showcase his work in collaboration with the graphic design studio BangBuro.

The proposal consists of an irregular space formedby triangular surfaces that completely surround the exhibition. The surfaceswill be built with light plastic panels mounted on an aluminium structure andfinished with a color coating. These panels would be perforated with a CNClaser to generate an image departing from the grains of a photograph whichwould be visible as a complete image from a distance and from a singlestandpoint generating a perspectivated effect on the perforations of the piece. This stand point would serve to take souvenir photographs of the visitorsinside of the stand, who would insert their heads trough a hole that would letthem appear dressed with the looks of the designer inside of the jaws of agiant tiger. The rest of the surfaces would be covered with large formatphotographs that would generate a tridimensional effect as a consequence of theshape of the panels.
