This project is a rebrand for the Alternative/Rock/Christian band Switchfoot, creating design for a live tour.
Switchfoot chose their name because it is a surfing term that means to embrace the challenge to put a different foot forward, in order to gain a new perspective. Switchfoot has applied this approach to their music, in order to challenge listener's perspective on self and the world.
The work conceptually and aesthetically communicate this 'Switching Foot' attitude. Three pairs of collectible diptych posters have been designed. Each pair is based on a specific Switchfoot song, and includes conceptual imagery and a typographical lyric excerpt. The same attitude is further developed and sustained using imagery,
typography and composition in a poster wrap, vinyl record sleeve, and tickets with a foldable cover.
