I find swimming to be one of the few activities in which I can be completely engaged in my surrounding environment. It's an experience in which your surroundings, water, can dull certain senses whilst also sharpening our awareness of others. With our own activity constantly influencing our surroundings, I believe that a conscious interaction of oneself with one’s environments is imperative.

In June of 2013, I entered Swimming into a competition for an iPhone Design Challenge by Uncommon Goods. The piece went through a round of public voting and then made it to the judges at Uncommon Goods. Amongst 5 other finalists, Swimming was selected as the winner.
