Project (2007) - with Stefano Zocca and Mattia Fabrin
The project involves the basic modules of about 36x12m, forming a row of courtyard houses. Each unit can host two people and it is closed in on itself to overcome the strong sunlight. The flat room and the north-south orientation allow to develop a cooling system that only uses the flow of the wind: in the longer side of the building there is an offset of the concrete wall respect to the slab in order to create a slot in which the wind penetrates. The circulation in then completed through the skylight in the living room, where the air comes out. the flat roof also helps to recover the rainwater in the internal pool, emerging from the downpipe placed on the outer wall of the bathroom. Materials used are local stones concrete and brick.
