The Sustainability Group is a branch of the City of Vancouver dedicated to climate protection, green architecture, active transportation, sustainable systems and bringing sustainability to all aspects of running and building the city.
The Group has a mandate to engage residents, businesses and visitors in making Vancouver the cleanest, greenest, healthiest city in the world.
I worked with developing a reusable lunch kit for the 2010 Olympics. The project involves brainstorming, idea generation and prototyping.
We worked with the legacy of the 2010 Olympics and reusable food ware. How could we create a container that people would use again and again instead of using one-time-throw-away? Our task was to design the opposite and by that reduce the amount of waste produced, and in longer perspective educate and create awareness concerning environmental sustainability.
