SusieCakes is an all-American bakery offering classic desserts made entirely from scratch using only the finest, natural ingredients, from recipes inspired by founder Susan's grandmothers. While SusieCakes has seen tremendous growth throughout the years, the brand needed a refresh as the business looked to expand its online presence, offering local ecommerce and eventually nationwide shipping of its famous Red Velvet cake. We maintained the brand's classic heritage while bringing a fresh, differentiated look, starting with a new typeface that we created by literally exploring letter forms drawn with buttercream frosting. We created a site that felt warm and inviting, highlighting the presence of the 'Susie' character, while providing a seamless shopping experience. In addition to web, we applied the new branding to everything from shopping bags to in-store signage, and continue to roll out the new look to SusieCakes' six locations. Read Less
