Supernatural ninth season :
At Comic-Con 2012, showrunner Jeremy Carver revealed his overall plan of plotting out a story that will help him at least reach his goal of “the end of season 10.” The CW president, Mark Pedowitz has been quoted saying that Seasons 9 and 10 are looking promising, as well as going on to say that both Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have signed on for both a ninth and tenth season if picked up by The CW. On February 11, 2013, The CW renewed the series for a 9th season. On February 25, Misha Collins was announced to be returning as a series regular in season 9. Supernatural will also switch from Wednesday to Tuesday nights for the new season. On June 28, the title of the second episode of the season (but first to be filmed) was announced to be "Devil May Care". On July 22nd, 2013 The CW announced there was a Spin-Off of Supernatural in the works, with the 20th episode of Season Nine serving as a back-door pilot that will introduce a new character (who will be the lead in the potential spin off series).
