This was a 3rd year university project for Visual Communication, where I branded a fictional end of summer music, arts and lifestyle festivalcalled Sunset Festival. Throughout the process I came across several challenges.These included creating a unique, personal identity that conveyed key themes ofthe festival. At first, my designs were very static, corporate, and impersonal,which is the exact opposite of the festival. Through extensive research andexperimentation, I developed a hand-generated logo, found a colour scheme thatexpressed natural and warm tones, and used silhouettes that acted as consistent,eye-catching visuals as well as representing sunset. These main elements becamethe overall unifying identity, and they successfully convey the personality andthemes of Sunset Festival.
Promotional material for this project includes a poster, flyers, CD album, festival map, timetables, web program mockup, interactive 3d animation mockup and t-shirt designs. Read Less
