The Sunde Group is one of the leading European players in the production and conversion of EPS (expanded polystyrene) based products.
The Sunde Group is a multinational company with several manufacturing plants in Scandinavia. The company is vertically integrated and manufactures its own raw material (expandable polystyrene), which is converted into thermal insulation, food packaging andprotective packaging. Since 1917 their prime focus has been, creating functional solutions to satisfy their customers challenging requirements. This has resulted in an annual turnover growth of 17% during the lastdecade. The raw material is marketed under the brand name Sunde. The brand name Sundolitt ® covers the different thermal insulation products and Sunpack represents all the packaging products.
Sundolitt ® XPS (extruded polystyrene) has extreme strength, minimal water absorption, long life and is easy to handle. This product can be used as (among other things) isolation of tunnel and roads, and other areas with high pressure and humidity.
The Challenge for the campaign:
To separate the generic product Sundolitt ® XPS from competing manufacturers, targeting professional users.
Through the idea of a mascot, we prepared Sundolitt ® its own XPS character. The character was drafted, developed and animated to be an icon of Sundolitt ® XPS. Through its character we communicated the product benefits:
· Extreme Force
· Minimal water absorption
· Long life
· Easy to handle
· Mild to the environment
Through the campaign, which included ads, brochures, exebition-stands, animations and micro site the Sundolitt ® XPS was published. So when pro-users in the construction industry think of XPS insulation product, they think of Sundolitt ® XPS – The Strong, Silent Type.
