New Year's Day in a ski town. The editor wanted something more wholesome and family oriented than the normal New Year's Eve fair. I ran with this and built and photographed a mountain scene out of felt and wire in my home. I drew all the type in the main area on paper and scanned it in to add it. The editor had me add the tin toy at the last minute, and ended up selling its placement to a local antique toy store. The ad at the bottom was added at press-time, and lucky for everyone envolved it fit well with the artwork on the top of the page.
