I never felt so lonely that on this boat, bound to an islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, off Japan's coast. The landscape kept changing every minute, clouds and fog surrounding the ship, the islands on the horizon, even the other ships close by. That whole trip felt very mysterious.
At that time, 3/11 was yet to come. When I look again at those images, it feels like the wave is hiding under the fog, ready to unravel in front of me.
