- Style & Substance Part One - Style GuideHere is the first part to my Style & Substance brief. This involved me researching the London based Graphic Artist and Resident Designer at Hospital Records, Ricky Wilson-Cloot, A.K.A Trickartt. The brief was to create a piece of design that would describe to a viewer visually who Trickartt is and his graphical style.
I did this through looking at his designs done for record companies such as Hospital Records, Beta Recordings and Critical Records. These designs featured a heavy influence on bold, sans serif typographic styles which contrasted well with bold, crisp and clear vector graphics. I also took inspiration from some of his personal work featured on his website, where he experiments with much more traditional approaches, such as his t-shirt designs done with acrylics and a mix of typography.
From my research I decided to base my Style Guide on the format of a T-shirt design. Below are my final designs which feature 1x A4 T-shirt Design & 4x A5 featuring close ups of information about the artist.

- The main feature to the design is the vector graphic I have added. This details various media and equipment that Trickartt uses throughout his designs as well as adding small details such as the Hospital Records LTD logo to show visually his position of Resident Designer at Hospital.
