Student Volunteer Network Campaign

  • There are a couple of key elements that our marketing scheme will communicate to campus college students: that anyone can give back to their community and regardless of skillset or education, one can always find an enjoyable activity within their niche of interests. That even with school and work, the college student still has time to volunteer even if for a small amount of time a week and that anything- an hour daily or an hour a week can make a positive impact on the community. And finally, that volunteering can be as enjoyable but more rewarding than after-school activities that students tend to engage in, such as college partying. The use of humor serves two purposes, to engage the student and establish the idea that volunteering is fun and secondly, to allow the student to reflect on their actions and what they can do for the community without inciting a negative guilt response.

  • One of the applications for the guerilla-marketing scheme is an interactive chalkboard design to be incorporated into the university's urban environment. The chalkboard is large, standing at 7ft, 21ft wide, the SVN iconic, "Hello, I am good at...." slogan/phrase permanently fixed on the board multiple times where the students would be able to fill in their talents and in turn allow them to reflect on how they can give back to their community.
