Strong Eagle - Fair Bride
Caitrin Watson | 2013 | Apparel Design & Environmental Studies
This pair of dresses represent two members of a larger wedding party - the bride and her maid of honor. The bride is a tribal princess, adorned for her arranged marriage to the prince of another tribe. Aside from their visually full, voluminous textural aspects, these garments represent the bringing together of two tribes to create a more inclusive, more peaceful, more prosperous, and more full group of people.
