One of the most important aspects of longevity in design is how a designed object looks, feels and how it interacts with the user over a period of time. The analysis of existing products as a case study was done and the knowledge gained through these case studies was distilled into a five-point framework. Exploration was done by creating different strategic ideas for tablet computers for Indian retail context.

Businesses who strategically take advantage of design, tend to have higher degree of consistecy in their look and feel of products/range of products and higher continuity in the interactive behaviour. This consistency in their aesthetics gives those companies sustainable competitive advantage.
