The Story of You babybook app was created to serve as a fast, simple and convenient way to organize all those important photos, videos and stories from childbirth to toddler age and to provide the flexibility for either printing hardcover photoalbums or sharing them electronically with family and friends.
The idea was to create a beautiful photo application with synchronization and photos' sharing for all platforms. And the first thing we have started was the development of the photoalbums' concept. We wanted to make realistic photoalbums that maximally give a visual sense of all the materials for a user.
Since we were making this project for ourselves in between client projects, its development could be greatly delayed. But the idea didn't take to wait for a long time, and we were approached by a client with a request to make for him the application on the basis of our developments.
Within the framework of this project it was also necessary to make an iPhone version. Of course, some of the animation features had to be abandoned in favor of the convenience of the user interface, but the album's appearance was saved.
The final stage of this project was to create an application's icon. We decided not to load the icon with unnecessary elements, so that it looked perfect in all sizes. The handprint (human history) symbolizes the essence of the application, and the color and texture of the skin reflects the affinity with photoalbums within the application.
