Stimorol Gum hosted a competition to redesign their new packaging. I decided to create something that was as fresh and full of flavour as the brand. Inspired by the textures and people of South Africa, my designs incorporate patterns from ShweShwe fabric design in an assortment of fun, eye-catching colours. South Africa is known as the rainbow nation, a melting pot of cultures, and so I thought it fitting to add caricatures of SA's funky people on SA's much loved gum. From the sexy red-head "cherry" you spotted in the club, to mister "original" afro-style, Mzanzi style is fun, dynamic and full of energy!
