    A short film about heartbreak
  • This was my final film while attending the highly regarded Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2010. Via a montage of abstract memories, the audience is transported along one man's unique and surreal life story, from his fragile childhood to his early death. It is, in some technical aspects, a very rough-and-ready execution. It is, in all other aspects, told straight from the heart. It was filmed by a dedicated skeleton crew (and cast) over the course of just two sweltering summer days in Melbourne. The duration is seven minutes.

Producer, Writer, Director, Editor, Sound Designer: Chris Cork
    Director of Photography: Zachary Picollo
Gaffer / First Assistant Camera: Robert Chum Li
    First Assistant Camera: Mike Larsen

  • One scene involves a montage of obscured cultural images playing on a television screen. This footage includes the abstract framing of Krzysztof Kieslowski's Trois Couleurs: Rouge, Michael Winterbottom's 9 Songs, and Dave Gibbon's Dr Manhattan artwork - with the utmost reverence.
