“Stay on Pointe” by Elizabeth Owens
Wanting to challenge myself creatively and productively, I decided to take the opportunity of selling original artwork on Society6 and turn it into a weekly design challenge. My goal: to publish a brand-new piece that is ready for sale by Friday afternoon at 3pm EST every week. "Stay on Pointe" became the premiere design that resulted from this personal challenge, and was published to my self-titled shop on Society6.com on January 17th, 2014.
The first few designs that will be published to my shop are a series of "BunHead Puns," which are graphic visualizations of ballet- and dance-related puns that I have had stuck in my subconscious ever since I danced ballet from the ages of 3 to 14. While I'm launching my shop with this four-part series, the sky's the limit for future subject matter! However, I would get ready to expect designs that revolve around marching band, art, pop culture, movies, TV shows, sci-fi series, music, and everything else that I obsess over... because I am a nerd, and that's what I do.
