“When I was a little
girl I used to read fairy tales.
There I met Prince
Charming and he was everything I ever wanted.
Then I grew up...it’s
not easy to spot Prince Charming neither is it easy to spot the Wolf…
Is he really funny
and makes you laugh? Does he have perfect hair and teeth?
But if I’m honest, I
have to tell you I still read fairy-tales…"
Spring Summer 2011 collection is inspired from fairytales. How we wish to gain
our heart’s desire even after we grow up, just like in all those tales we’ve
read while growing up. The silhouettes are influenced by the 40s and 70s
fashion scene and modeled after the likes of Clara Bow, the It-girl whose sweet
yet seductive look was a well-established marquee. There is a touch of masculinity to the shapes
with color blocking as the highlight of the collection. Yet all the pieces
allude to the sensual feminine side with luxurious fabrics like cotton, cotton
silk and georgette used to mold to form.
