Art of the Cap brings swimming and creativity together to create positive change in the world. Speedo USA paired five Olympic swimmers including Nathan Adrian, Dana Wollmer, Gullen Jones, Ryan Lochte and Nathalie Caughlin with five inspiring artists to create limited-edition swim caps for five worthy causes. Every cap sold raise awareness, raise money, and make a difference.
My collaboration was to illustrate Nathalie Caughlin’s cap, the most decorated female athlete at both the 2004’s Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. 12-time Olympic medalist for USA Swimming with 3 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze medals. The idea of my artwork was inspired by Nathalie’s love for the ocean and environment, it features my recognizable swirly shapes forming a wave.
Art of the Cap is a reminder to give back when you are at the top of your game, all proceeds from the caps benefits Right to Play, a global organization that educates and empower children and youth in disadvantaged communities through sport and play.
