Hundreds of persons who went online on the 1st of April looking for information about eyetests, glasses or lenses, found their way to our website for "Alva Visie" through Google AdWords advertisements. On this website they could take a (fictional) online eyetest. Visitors were asked to turn on their webcam and do some simple tests. It started with naming the right letters and ended up with strange tests like having to shake your head from left to right while looking at a point on the screen. At the end it was revealed that the test was an April Fools' Day joke by Specsavers.
The tagline being: "You should have gone to Specsavers..."
("Was nou maar naar Specsavers gegaan...")
