In February of 2012 I won a photography contest via orbitz.com and was able to fly to South East Asia. These photos are from my 6 week trip abroad. We visited Thailand, Cambodia, and finished our trip in Laos. Everything was shot with a Nikon D90 and a 35mm 1.8 nikkor lens. I was immediately taken a back by the friendly smiles of the people I encountered on the street. This, coupled with the striking dark, yet colorful, backgrounds led to the following pictures. This is a work in progress and warrants your critiques, suggestions, comments (For instance, there are some multiple images of the same scene, please tell which you would pick and which you'd get rid of).
