The black rose is an old and rarely used anarchist symbol and the basis for the logo. The rose bud is mid bloom representing growth and learning.
The identity is all constructed on grids to represent the order and organisation which is inherent in anarchist thought. This is a horizontal order as opposed to a verticle one therefore the use of equal modules in the grid serves not only a practical function, but a metaphorical one as well.
The spraypainted exclamation mark on the poster is a visual representation of the passion and spontaneity of anarchist literature. It also serves as a reminder of the human aspect behind all anarchist action.
