Andrea L.'s profile

Soul; Recovered

I cannot quite state that I am an individual who possesses one particular, noticeable "style." Thus, this is a compilation of randoms from August 2013 to the present with various media. You will not find any cohesiveness here, so I apologize for the disarray. The only thing tying everything together is the subject- females captured in stares and strange moments in time.

I also have a nasty tendency to give 85% of myself to each and every artwork... Then allow the leftover 15% to float away to I-may-or-may-not-return-to-finish-it land. Such is life and life is a gamble. We move on.
I will keep updating this project with new [and hopefully better] works over the next few months until my mid-twenties existential crisis simmers down, in which point, I will probably go ham in DIYs and crafts.

I hope you enjoy the 85% you see here.

Newest work on top, older work on bottom.

Quick sketch for easter(420). Could have put a joint in her mouth but that would have clashed with the bunny ears..
Graphite and some cheesy filter.
8.5" x 11"
Graphite, ink, Prismacolor pencils. (This one was a major fail...)
8.5" x 11"
Graphite and white pastel.
8.5" x 11"
Graphite and an overlay of a million filters. I will never be able to replicate these colors again.
8.5" x 11"
Graphite. And Google, for that disgusting moth.
8.5" x 11"
iPad, index finger, stylus, and SketchbookExpress.
As large as I command it to be.
First it was a sketch made with graphite. Later I wanted to add color in the cleanest way possible so then came Illustrator CS6.
This too, can be as big as this universe. If there was a big enough printer that allowed it.
Obviously done on a terribly textured surface, this was hastily produced with graphite, ink, and Prismacolor pencils.
4" x 6"
Done in a more patient manner with graphite, ink, and Prismacolor pencils. The ear however, was neglected into the I-don't-belong-here zone.
8.5" x 11"
This lovely geometric lady was given life via graphite, ink, and Prismacolor pencils.
4" x 6"

Making a slow but sure comeback after crying for a good few years over my BFA that is collecting dust in my parents' walk-in closet.
