Sony Bravia Motionflow (Dare Digital)
- Sony Bravia Motionflow
Dare Digital (2009)Working as part of the tech team on the Bravia Motionflow campaign, my role involved creating two flash modules, demonstrating the concept behind Motionflow. This project was challenging as it required precise integration of multiple HD streamed videos - all controlled by the user.
In order to simplify the process of handling multiple HD streams, I created an abstract FLV handler - making it incredibly simple to control & synchronise everything.
This module used two synchonised FLV streams to give the impression of a high quality lens. The area outside the lens would show a degraded video with washed-out colour and a low frame rate. The area inside the lens, however, displayed smooth. glossy HD footage.
The lens tracked the user's mouse position, allowing them to focus on an area of the footage that they would like to improve.
This module used 5 HD video streams in order to emulate a flipbook. When the user clicked and released the corner of the "page", the flipbook would spring open - seamlessly switching video streams to show the pages streaming, producing a smooth video.
