This Something Blue Damask wedding invitation is designed to open like a present - because your wedding day is such a gift... to you and all your guests. The outer cover coverlet a damask pattern printed in sky blue on gorgeous ivory linen textured card stock. It is hand-cut and folded to open vertically when the black double sided satin ribbon is untied. My personal favorite part of this invitation is the hand-cut vintage monograms that are glued to the top flap to open along with the rest! I do not cut my frames with a pattern, they are all cut free-hand.
Once opened, a black textured card stock inlay sets the background behind the ivory linen textured card page with your ceremony and reception information printed - the two are seperated by a single damask element printed in black.
A 3.5x5" RSVP postcard is included in the suite - it can either be a simple guest list generator, or you may add your dinner entrée choices also! They are completely customizable. I almost always recommend a postcard response card to keep the cost of the invitation suite down. Postcards only require a $0.32 stamp, rather than the normal $0.45 standard First Class stamp (prices as of 1/22/11), AND you don't have the cost of a response card envelope. (Howerver, you are most welcome to choose choose a traditional rsvp card with a matching ivory linen envelope for and additional $.25 per invitation.)
