Some of my Art Work

Art Work
The following is some of my A level Art work. It is mostly inspired by the famous Italian movement 'Futurism', especially Umberto Boccioni's 'States of Mind'. The colours and technique have been thoroughly studied and adopted for the realisation of this work.

Another major inspiration was the famous movement, Cubism, and the techniques and colours have also been adopted in the realisation of the work.
2.3m x 1m, Acrylic on board. The first part of the painting (the bigger one) is painted in bright colours, as it represents 'People that come' into our lives. The other two pieces represent 'People always leave' and are painted in darker colours. The painting represents the thinking process that there are so many people that we meet or see and may never see again.

The painting is done using the 'Futurist' technique of representing speed, movement, geometrical figures and the colours typical of this movement. It is done in three parts to add to the sense of speed and movement.
