Sole Survivor tells the tales of individuals who were the only survivors in horrific disasters. The pilot was produced by Gurney Productions for Discovery Channel. The stories were told in first-person narratives boosted with cinematic recreations, science, visualizations, and life-saving advice from psychologists, doctors, and disaster experts.
In addition to the title design, Wil was brought in to conceptualize and story board, and create visual effects and animations that supported the story lines. The pilot consisted of two cases, a plane crash and an avalanche. We created a series of visual effects scenes and illustrative animations for each case.
