Facebook users enter a phenomenal amount of data about themselves into the social network, in many cases on a daily basis. In the constant stream of updates, photos and events meaningful relationships and conversations have a habit of getting lost in the ether.
We identified an opportunity for our client Deutsche Post to enter social media with an offering grounded in their core business – getting objects of physical value to people. We wanted to create a book that presented a distilled view of the user’s social highlights and trends of their activity on Facebook for posterity.
We launched with a viral campaign contacting blogs and influencers of the German and international audiences which quickly snowballed on Twitter and Facebook. Two weeks in the application has been used by over 80,000 Facebook users, and book sales are growing steadily, as is Deutsche Post’s new found brand awareness on Facebook. Read Less
