This project is an ongoing experiment of materials, sound, mathematics and shape.   I've chosen the polyhedron -- snub cube as the box for this speaker.  I like the qualities of the snub cube because it creates a spherical shape, but still allows flat surfaces to position the speaker in many different directions.  Calculating the airspace of the box has been a challenge.  The next speaker box will address this issue. This project is in the prototype stage and comments and suggestions are appreciated.
I'm using scrap birch plywood as the material for the box.  The compound angle calculations were obtained by web calculators and free programs like google sketchup.
no fasteners are used.  Only wood glue binds the pieces together.
