About the exhibition
"Smile" ( "Улыбка" in russian) is the photo exhibition, which will take place in famous Kunstkamera — the museum of anthropology and ethnography, located in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
The aim of this exhibition is to explore the meaning of a smile in different continents and cultures, especially in society of the wild folks, for example — aborigenes of Australia or Eskimo people. "Smile" will share more then one hundred photos of smiling people taken on four continents — Asia, Australia, Africa and Europe in period from 19 to 21 centuries.
The series of five posters below shows my attempt in visualising the concept. The result combines ethnographical and psychological values of the exhibition.
