Slotted chair.
In this project we had to design a flat pack piece of furniture which didn't use tools or screws to assemble it. This project was a live project which means we submitted them to a company called Nils Holger Moorman. This company produces alot of flat pack furniture and many more innovative designs.
This is the final product, i used MDF for the prototype design to save on costs but it gives an idea on what the final product would be like. I grooved in all the peices which then were tighted together using a wratchet strap.
This is the chair dissasembled.
As you can see here there is a strap hidden underneath the chair, which can easily be put together or taken down in less than a minute.
