Sloka 22 - Heritage Site 'The Carving of Banteay Srey'

  • Banteay Srey
    A Citadel of Women
  • The temple of Banteay Srey is located in the area of Angkor in the Kingdom of Wonder - Cambodia- is a 10th century temple dedicated for the Hindu God Shiva.

This beautiful temple built during the reign of Rajendravarman II about 967 A.D. The feminism temple was built by using red sandstone that make the temple very special and the artist can elaborate the carvings as a touch of art for centuries.

The site look like a miniature of a temple if we compare with other Khmer monuments that built on that time.

    Please enjoy!
