Photography & concept for interior

The vocational education school Scalda asked me to come up with an idea for the interior of the management offices. They wanted to use photography in this area. These offices in the school have al lot of glass walls. I presented the idea to photograph students in the studio as silhouettes and use these images in the interior. We printed the silhouettes on transparent foil and placed the foil on the glass and some other non-tranparent walls.

When you enter the building you see a lot of dark silhouettes, students in all kind of poses. When you get closer to the silhouettes they become a bit transparent and you see more details in the facial expression. This is because of the lighting coming from the inside of the offices. The blacks in the silhouette become more transparent.
